Judders Am The Desert - Judders - 02-04-2020 I was going for somewhere between synthwave and Swans. I did tune most of the vocals, but didn't hit it hard because the shaky pitch really fits the 80's industrial kind of vibe I was going for. Generally it's a big washy wall of sound. It's a dense arrangement and not easy to mix. I departed from the preview mix in the intro, ending, and cut a couple of spots to make sections hit harder. RE: Judders Am The Desert - loweche6 - 03-04-2020 Hey Judders, Love your take on the outro and the drop for effect and impact. Really well done! It definitely has that grungy 80's industrial vibe you were after, I believe. Stylistically it's right, but I do wonder if the low energy in the verb is a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitle too hot? Not by much at all. . . but with the darkness of the vox themselves, and the density of the synth stuffs, it may be pushing my limits. But I'm not 100% on that, so you probably have it dead on! Really nice work! Draper And thanks for the compliment on the name! RE: Judders Am The Desert - Judders - 03-04-2020 Hey, it's pushing my limits too! But I didn't think a "less is more" approach would suit it. Thanks for the comment! |
