All Souls Moon - bmullen - 28-11-2013 Thanks for the listen and any input RE: All Souls Moon - flyrecords - 28-11-2013 (28-11-2013, 06:55 PM)bmullen Wrote: Thanks for the listen and any input Simply but very effective, good job Bob!!! I like so much!!! RE: All Souls Moon - Artbass - 28-11-2013 Great mix, I really like it. Listening on my headphones the only thing I can offer: Fretless bass played like in this song lives from the extensive use of "mwah", a rather sonor sonic quality that lives somewhere in the mids (usually 500-800). It is the combination of the instrument itself and the way the string is plugged and articulated. That sonic quality is all that I do miss in your mix. RE: All Souls Moon - Jacques - 03-12-2013 Really nice mix!!! The only thing I would put not so in front the vox, and I would pan the backing vox hard L/R when there is the bass solo... but is just my taste All best Jacques RE: All Souls Moon - Aris - 03-12-2013 Very nice generally but you should clean the vocal track from some noises and give life to the fretless bass. RE: All Souls Moon - bmullen - 03-12-2013 Thanks for the great suggestions. Here is my attempt at implementing them RE: All Souls Moon - juanjose1967 - 03-12-2013 I've enjoyed your mix so much that I think I will go for this one as well!! good job!! RE: All Souls Moon - jspace24 - 04-12-2013 I really like this mix - nice job! Just a couple of small items for me. I actually preferred your panning of the background vox in your first mix. Hard L and R separates them from the bass too much when they are singing the same melody the bass is playing. Also, around 3:05 the violins enter so loud that they overpower the lead vox a bit. Maybe some automation or a sidechain compressor triggered by the lead vox to tame them. Other than that, very nice! Thanks RE: All Souls Moon - bmullen - 04-12-2013 I used automation to fix the 3:05 violin track up to the end since I had already used it earlier and decided to compromise on the BK VOX panning during the Bass solo (80%). |
