Crazy Girl - sagalegin - 17-03-2020

My take testing out this cranborne piece probably take it to analog mastering when i can get back to the studio with all this craziness going on.

Feedback is appreciated and given back

It sounds like there's a compressor with a relatively slow attack really clamping during the loud sections. It's hard to tell if it's on the mix or just the guitar section. Honestly, I kinda like it but it's a bit too obvious. If it were blended in as an effect or only on some specific tracks it might add some cool movement to the mix. Because that dominates so much of what I'm hearing I'm losing focus on the rest of the mix. The bass guitar could come up a fair amount.

PETER WHITE_5.mp3 feels better. It's got a lot of energy which I like. I think the guitars in the heavy section might be a bit harsh. Maybe it's just the acoustics. Mostly on the right. It just kinda 'pokes' me and distracts. I feel like the low end energy falls off too much during the instrumental, marimba breaks. The snare could use more length. I think it'd help the groove to feel it decay more. The drums are a little too dry in the marimba section. I like the vocals. I kinda want a little more of them but I think if the guitars were just a little softer it'd open up space for the vocals.
Overall the balance works as long as the upper mids are tamed a bit.

Thanks for the feedback Roy i did a revision had some time, as we all do, so i cleaned up some things

In version _8 the loud sections feels good. The snare feels a little weak to me but that's it. The quiet sections come down in energy a bit too much. In the bridge the guitar 'scrapes'/accents are relatively loud to the rest of the guitar parts.
