my mix is joining the circle - pmilani - 31-12-2019

Here is my mix of "Inner Circle"

I admit I was not sure what to make of the 4 mics per guitar. I also didn't want to choose a single mic so I kinda panned them in pairs, finding a balance where they EQ themselves decently as a starting point.
Couldn't get the snare to sound right on its own so I kept the original snare top mics for attack and gate them out after ~150ms, added a snare sample where I cranked up its room sound.
I reinforced also the kick with a sample for a cleaner low end.

Lead vocal were kinda problematic for me. Maybe I'd have loved to hear yet another mic choice on her.

Song structure is original indeed, nice for a change Smile
