RE: yuvalbe mix - Mike Senior - 14-11-2012

This is a lovely mix. Balance, blend, warmth, immersiveness, transparency... you've got it all. Great work! Makes me stop thinking about the mix and concentrate on James and his song, and you can't ask for much more than that.

Being the picky devil that I am, though, I would still say that I'd rather you'd done more to control the upright bass. I know this style doesn't normally call for extreme measures but the bass track is clearly an imbalanced raw recording, so I think you need to consider even quite harsh measures if necessary to bring it back into a more consistent balance. At the moment it's just not solid in the balance -- sometimes it's too full and booming, other times it's somewhat aneamic. You'll never completely cure it, but I'd rather that the range across which is errs were reduced! Smile

Still, serious respect for this mix nonetheless.
