'Sugar / Faith' mix - pmilani - 01-12-2019

Whaaat a blast I had mixing this, brilliant band with a great song(s)!!
I really wish the best success to Forkupines!

My mix. Not sure about my drums level, I might have pushed up a tiny bit too much Wink

Good sound and good instruments balance for my taste.
But I would reduce the reverb and delay on vocals.

Yet another update: can't help it, love the songs Smile

There were some details I was not happy with:
There is a particular sibilance on vocals I found hard to get right, finally seems decent.
Kick and bass balance and tone could have been improved.
The snare popping out a bit too much, esp around 200 HZ.

So I picked up the mix again, worked on that.
In the end I had to throw out all my "mastering" processing chain, which now consists of all but a couple of linear phase EQ touches, and a final limiter doing no limiting 99.9% of time, but it does affect tone (UAD Oxford Limiter).
