Like You Do Mix - vicenzajay - 04-09-2019 Here's my take of this piece. Like others have said, it wasn't the best recording session, but that made it even more valuable as a mixing training tool, I think. Lots of outboard used here - I actually kept the intro and added some subtle effects for movement. Final mix was sent through some Carnhill transformers and then (again ) through Lundahl iron in the mixbuss compressor. The keys were soaked fairly thoroughly as well in the mixing stage. Would love your thoughts. Cheers - Jay RE: Like You Do Mix - NoirGuitarSuperstar - 04-09-2019 I really liked the overall airy dreaminess of the vocals, including the backgrounds... I really think they suit the song perfectly. Nice work! RE: Like You Do Mix - vicenzajay - 05-09-2019 Thank you very much! I am posting up a different version here - only real change is level as the first mix was slammed (as in loudness) too much and was collapsing some of what I wanted to do with the mix. This has a touch more room. Cheers, Jay |
