Colour me red - Retchid Gretchin - 02-04-2019 Colour me red RE: Colour me red - Roy - 02-04-2019 A classic. Overall it has a warm tone but feels pretty compressed. Though one's ear gets used to it. I'd say let it breathe more. The vocal feels a bit separate from the rest of the track. It really could use some (more) reverb or effect to help gel it to the band. Now that I think about it this might have been the song I used a de-esser on the snare. Some occasional hits had just too much attack. RE: Colour me red - Retchid Gretchin - 03-04-2019 Thanks for your comment I shall look at the compressors (see if I can do without some of them and see how that goes) and turn up the reverbs which I had turned the reverbs down a a lot (I have them already set on my template) for this track due to mixing it again as an acoustic to begin with so do agree. I think the drums need pulling up a bit - just tweaks |
