I loved working on this song. The 2 drums parts helped create the emotion of the song, so I spent an extra bit of time differentiating them; the first drum part has standard kick EQ, and the second has an aggressive kick EQ. Also, I added room reverb on the second snare tracks so they pop a little more. I thought the best vocal performance was in the 3rd take, and went with that.
Mix 1 has all the background hiss. Mix 2 is my first attempt to remove some of that noise. Mix 7 has the comped lead vocal and the corrected electric guitar 2 swells.
