Cog in the Machine - my first mix - maticomp - 23-12-2017
Hi there!
First and foremost I wanted to thank you all in the community for so many great resources and discussions. I've finally decided to start my mixing journey and even though I know I should start with simpler pieces, and that's what I'm going to do now, I always wanted to try my best on this song after seeing the Gearfest videos few years ago.
So, here it is, my first mix of Cog in the machine and also my first mix ever. I wanted to make the vocal upfront with guitars and the violin panned opposite as the frame for the vocals, going the dry route with most of the mix. I'm not really happy how the drums sit now, but that's something I hope to learn!
