Perpetual Escape: SinSix (Robert's Mix) - Robert - 20-10-2017 ..... There I was completely wasted, out of work and down... etc, etc.... Breakin' the Law, Breakin' the Law. I can't help but think of 80's Judas Priest guitars with this song. And what's wrong with that?.... Absolutely nothing! All comments welcome. RE: Perpetual Escape: SinSix (Robert's Mix) - Mandubien - 07-12-2017 Hi Robert ! Thank you for mixing our song Here's my little review. You should tame the bottom snare track a little bit it's pretty distractive, especially when I play on the toms. I think you can get that air on the snare by just boosting some dB at 6-8k. You can add some 200 Hz too to give it some balls I like the tone of the guitars. Backing vocals are a bit loud. They're mostly here to support the main vocals, not really to be that heard. The kick is a bit behind the rest. You can make it louder to bring some power a little more. Good job, keep it up ! RE: Perpetual Escape: SinSix (Robert's Mix) - Robert - 27-04-2018 Hi, Mandubien Thank you for the heads-up on the snare. You're right; listening again it's a bit 'wrong'. Amazing what a fresh pair of ears can bring to a mix. Glad you liked the sound of the guitars. Just the UAD2 Neve 1073 plugin for a bit of tone shaping - but not much. The guitars were well recorded and easy to work with. I'll look again at the kick too, now that you mention it. |
