A bit of a breakaway from original - kmank - 13-07-2013 When I download these mix offerings, I never listen to the original mastered release so as not to taint my mind with an existing mix. I prefer to go at them as if I were the original mixing engineer/producer. When I brought up the faders on this song, I was immediately brought back to the days of Springsteen and Joe Jackson, so that is the way I tried to go with it. Anyway, I had some automation fun with it and even embellished the last part of the song with BGVs that didn't exist originally. Please take a listen and I welcome all comments from critical listeners. Thanks!! RE: A bit of a breakaway from original - thedon - 13-07-2013 Hi ! This is a nice sounding mix ,I likehow it translates nice on small monitors ! RE: A bit of a breakaway from original - sano - 13-07-2013 I think the vocal level could come up. To my ears the snare seems to be overpowering it. RE: A bit of a breakaway from original - takka360 - 13-07-2013 I dont like that verb on the vox. I think the mix sound a bit middle ish but i dont think the reverb choice is helping that |
