Stich Up Andy Gallas Mix - AndyGallas - 21-06-2017

My try of the Stich Up Smile

RE: Stich Up Andy Gallas Mix - Roy - 21-06-2017

It feels pretty good. The only really issue I hear is that it feels a little 'fat' in the lower mids. I'm not sure if it's the guitars or bass or both. I think it could be thinned out a little in the area.

Personally, I feel like it could use a little more 'excitement'. There's something about this song that always felt a little slow to me. I think it would have been nice if they played it a few clicks faster on the metronome. It plods along a bit and could use some more spice to keep the energy up.

Other than that it feels spot on. Good job.

Thank you very much! Agree, there might be some woolliness going on, though the mix translates quite well here. I also agree about your observations on the song. Could be performed a little tighter and the idea playing a bit faster is very good.

Cheers!

So here is my final mix (in the start post). Tried to control that lowmid woolliness and to make it more finished sounding. Those were rather small changes but I think they matter.

Cheers!
