RE: Sin 6 - Dangerous - 18-04-2017 It looks like you have put a lot of effort into this one Obelix. My main critique here is with the overall spectral balance, which for me sounds a little skewed for one reason or another. There are some resonances I can hear in the low mids which is clouding things a little. I also found that a broad scoop @ 600hz and a slight boost @ 2800hz helped with the overall balance and clarity. I know these are taste things, but I think it would be worth it, to go back into the mix and try find the culprits of the low mid resonances and clean them up. Here is a version of your mix with a quick attempt at addressing some of the issues I've discussed. I have screen shot the eq settings I used. Hope this helps. Dave RE: Sin 6 - Obelix - 21-06-2017 I will do the version 3 RE: Sin 6 - Obelix - 28-06-2017 New mix of this song RE: Sin 6 - Obelix - 16-02-2021 Again, I resurect my old thread from darkness, after a long time, I decided to make another mix of that song. Perpetual Escape is an amazing band, I like the music very much. |
