Colour Me Red - Redbeard Mix - J.D.Redbeard - 15-02-2017

Hi Guys,

I found, that most mixes of this song were too flat, dry, mono and not exciting. Confused

So... give it a shot. Wink

Have fun,

Redbeardo out.

My main issue is that the vocal is pretty hot and harsh and makes it hard to focus on the rest of the band. I have to turn the volume down and that takes away from the power and excitement of the mix. It's hard to judge the song beyond that.

Hi Redbeard ,
I Like the open punchy and dynamic sound of your mix a lot ,I agree with Roy the upper frequencies of the vocals around 1-3k area maybe just a touch upfront not by much maybe 1-2db max , could be a touch fuller in the low frequencies .
Good job with the effects.
I like the punch of the kick ,maybe the bass guitar could come up more which may require more balancing the bass and kick .
Can hear some low frequencies in the side channels mainly from the kick (could be caused by reverb ) reducing the low frequencies from the sides may help with a tighter bottom end ?

Just some thoughts while listening.

Well Done Big Grin
