James May: 'Hold On You' - Harder - 20-01-2017

Cool song, I like that guy's vox!.. And slide guitar is really something.. That was my very first experience here, so I don't think it's good enough. However, I'm very interested in following:

1. How it sounds on your system?
2. Isn't it too loud?
3. Maybe it needs more low frequencies?

It's really important to me, so please:)

Also not sure about drums.. Maybe they need more close mics and less overheads?

Hello Harder,

I agree, this is a great song.

Listening with headphones, I like your mix and nothing really stands out other than the lack of bass frequencies. To my ears, the bass guitar is lacking depth and the kick drum is almost missing completely. I think if you can bring these into the mix, it will fill out the song nicely.
