Far out! This is quite a complex piece of music to start off with, Alex. I commend you on leaping into the deep end of things Smile

Maybe try to get some nice sparkle in the mix by accentuating some of the very high frequencies in the strings, and watch the lower 'mud' zone (150-300Hz) where things are sounding a bit dense. Most instruments contribute to the two offending mud zones (150 to about 250-300Hz and then from here to about 500Hz) and scooping some of these areas away from instruments that do not have their character held here will help clean up the mix.
I love the big reverb boom you have sent the timpani to so watch you don't also change that if you play with EQ Smile

Very well done, and welcome to the mix forums !
