Diesel13 - Colour Me Red - parnellij - 05-12-2016

Here's version 1. Wish I'd known about the contest.

Wow are the upper mids harsh and overcompressed! It sounded great to my tired ears last night. I'll be fixing that.

Hah! I think we've all been there at one time of another! Smile

Final version uploaded. Lots of small changes but they all add up to a more natural sound. Sent the low end of the overheads to center, reworked the kick and snare, toned down the bass growl, changed vocal reverb IR to something that doesn't sound like a toilet, and backed off the final compression.

My final check of the mix was to stream it to my Roku from my phone, because the compression on that thing will butcher any mix that's has transients poking out or too much reverb. It seemed to pass the test.
