Jay Menon:'Through My Eyes'
This was a great mixing experience. I enjoyed the song personally and I think its charged with an emotional vocal performance and a great arrangement. From the technical side, I noticed some edits took the tail of some phrases of the lead vocals. I tried to mask it with some quarter note delay. Also I decided not to use one of the guitars track because it was introducing an annoying resonance around 2.5Khz and it was not essential for the song mood. The song was asking me a lot of ambiance and spaces so I was not shy of reverb. I used plates, chambers and early reflections to create the space around the vocals.
