Timboz Pony mix - wolfie - 06-10-2016

bloody terrible recording, and the timing is all over the shop, so a bit shakey

done in logic pro x

RE: Timboz Pony mix - wolfie - 06-10-2016

used drum replacer in logic to copy kick, snare & toms (using logic's 'heavy kit'), mixed in with original overheads & snare - poulin cab convolution on main guitar, second guitar split & hard-pan spread with about 25ms delay on one side, other two guitars just panned a bit each way, the bass is re-amped thru a grindbox pedal. Master output has VERY subtle eq tweaks (.5 dB on a couple of spots) & Softube's abbey rd 127 box giving a 2.7k 2db lift & the abbey rd 128 giving 2b boost at 8k, plus a limiter to reign it all in at 2dB under 0.

mixed on cans so prolly a bit w*nky on speakers.

Yeah on my monitors I'm missing a lot of the low mids that give the track power. It's just too scooped overall. I think you could easy off the bass and try and bring back the mids more for a more level sound.

Oh and no vocals?
