LeadInc: The Dice (v1.3a) - Topee - 14-06-2016 hello everybody, here is the mix i'm working on. any kind of feedback would be great. v1.1 - tried to fix the balance - muted bass in intro 19.6.2016 v1.2 - still trying to fix the balance - guitars should be more present now - reverb added - delay added 22.06.2016 v1.3a - further tweaks on vocals - removed some clicks and crackles RE: LeadInc: The Dice (mix in progress) - hanibal005 - 18-06-2016 The main thing I notices is how the drums are struggling to breath. I think the balance is good. Just needs some more seasoning. I like that the drums are very forward. RE: LeadInc: The Dice (v1.3a) - Topee - 24-06-2016 Thanks! New version is up, thank you for your comments RE: LeadInc: The Dice (v1.3a) - teste - 27-06-2016 Hi Topee, I'll give you my first impression. Overall balance is nice. I don't like drum sound and timbre, I think it could be more powerful and present, kick drum is too muddy, snare drum is too much in the back and don't pop out, toms in the bridge section are very thin, cymbals are not bad, in general the drum kit is too low in level. Bass guitar is also a little bit muddy and not very present. Guitars sounds good, maybe you can add a touch of high frequencies to give it more air. I really love the lead vocal effects before the second chorus, lead vocal timbre in general is not bad, maybe is just a little bit too much in the back and needs more presence. Feel free to ask me any specific question if you want! Have a good time mixing! Alex |
