Dont Let Go - sonicenergystudio - 12-05-2016 I have been reading alot. Took the time to read some of Bob Katz's books. Can't say I understood everything but what I found the most interesting is that every plugin that you add affects the word length whch affects the sound. Even a small level change. Something to do with the averaging of the word length. The better the plugin the less damage created. made me rethink everything I have been doing. Took the approach to only use what is absolutely necesary. So kept the mix buss totally clear of compression and limiting. Mixed to K-20 and mastered( just a multiband compressor with a touch of gain on the mids) to K-12. Plenty more room to actually master this if anyone wants to give it a go. Mike |
