Love this song, it's right up my street. Seen many bands like this live and if they gigged anywhere near me, I'd be well up for going along and sinking a few pints of Guinness.
I went for the lo-fi live approach as the sticky post above said they thought the original mix was too polished (didn't listen to it until after I'd finished, but I see what they mean). I went top down like a front-of house mix and all I did was put an EQ and compressor on the master bus, did a few tweaks to the drums and bass, then grouped the other instruments into sections and simply put a high-pass filter on them. Then I put a very mild delay/reverb on the vocals with a bit of compression, made a few automation moves and left it at that.
