C U Next Time mix - kalevasi - 09-03-2016

so, that´s my second mix here, let me know what´s good/bad. went bit more for mainstream´esque than sort of guitaheavy mixes lot of other people have done here.

edit: added an limter and an multiband comp. to get level comparable to other mixes...

Hello kalevasi

Your balance needs work. Here are a few observation.

*snare has no body . could be you compressed too much. Turn it up with less compression on it.

*bass is too loud, it's overwhelming toms and kick.

*try a different kick sample. That one is not piercing through right. Or if you want to use the same, lower some lows from 100hz and below, cut around 400hz to clean it up and boos 3 db around 3-5khz area. That will get it sharper.

*love the guitars actually, they are perfect!

*drop down you voice at least 3db to have better relation between guitars, back vocals and main vocal.

That's what I would do to make this sound better.

Saludos!
