Do you mind sharing how you processed the guitars?! Thank you very much! Absolutely! Heres how i've done it: I tend to have a bit of playtime with the guitars - between 1-2.6khz either cut or boost a fairly narrow section to see what sounds nice. I then take a little out between 300-600hz to make it sound more metallic. This is all down to personal taste. Electric Gtr 1 - Panned 100% Left EQ 4band - 1. HPF-100hz 2. 310hz- -2.7db Q 1.56 3. 2540hz +4.7db Q 1.36 Light compression Electric Gtr 2 Panned 100% right EQ 4band - 1. HPF-100hz 2. 586hz- -5.7db Q 0.80 3. 3615hz- +7.0db Q 0.80 Light compression I sent these two guitars to another EQ and focussed on the high end to get that hard edge. Electric Gtr 3 (solo) Panned centre EQ 4band - 1.HPF-100hz 2. 329hz- -5.9db Q 0.80 3. 1509hz- +3.3db Q 0.80 4. 7497hz- +12.3db Q 0.90 Heavily compressed. I hope this helps - give it a try and maybe change a few things around? Theres no wrong way to do it! Let me know if you'd like to know more! Cheers! I'm here 3 years late, but if by any chance you are still active could you explain your process working with the vocals here? Thank you very much! RE: Johnny Lokke - Whisper to a Scream - lukepercy - 17-01-2021 Sounding chunky as man! I would like the toms to be a little fuller. Them guitars are rocking! The vocals are a little dry for my liking. Try adding a long reverb at low levels to really blend and melt them into the track. RE: Johnny Lokke - Whisper to a Scream - Big Alex - 19-08-2021 I liked it! I am mixing the same song and your mix gave me a very good reference |
