Zwiepack: 'Summertime' - otc.mix - 08-01-2016 This is my beta version of mix. This is no reverb and delay. Please tell me what I can do to make it better? RE: Zwiepack: 'Summertime' - Dangerous - 09-01-2016 Listening with headphones, Very Nice! Beautiful saxophone and bass. Drum sound is nice but maybe a bit distant and sounding like it's at the back of the room. Might be worth trying to dry it up a tad and close it in. Great work. Dave. RE: Zwiepack: 'Summertime' - otc.mix - 11-01-2016 Thank you Dangerous. This is next version of mix. I use a little reverb only on the ............... bass RE: Zwiepack: 'Summertime' - Dangerous - 14-01-2016 Definitely better balance and stage cohesion this time round. Good work RE: Zwiepack: 'Summertime' - otc.mix - 16-01-2016 Final version. RE: Zwiepack: 'Summertime' - Luc van der Stap - 17-01-2016 Hi OTC, Well balanced, well defined, great job! If I am correct you have kept the room tracks? In my mix I threw the room tracks away, wich I in 90% of recordings with room tracks recorded in small combo's will do, throwing them simply away and use the most dry and less bleeding tracks If there are any good not bleeding dry non room tracks available, you always can create your own artificial "room tracks". However on the other hand in big band recordings, personally I welcome room tracks very much while they are very useful. Cheers, Luc RE: Zwiepack: 'Summertime' - otc.mix - 18-01-2016 Thank you, Luc. You're right. I used all tracks except the track "01_MainPair". I used a little reverb only on the bass, with low-cut filter 110 Hz. No reverb on the sax, only the room track. |
