My version of "Ultra Violet Apology" - k14studios - 28-07-2015

To me this song was screaming for production. I went for something a bit darker and more etherical than the original version. Lots of compression, delay and a pumping limiter. Opinions??

Youve mixed this to a very personal vision, so rather than get technical I'll just leave you with some thoughts.

My main advice: keep in mind the mix serves the purposes of the song. Unless your goal is a remix of course, obvious mix moves or special fx like a pumping limiter may be better to take a back seat to the music. After all, that's what most of us really want to hear. A song, not a mix.
