Bio: Music & Sound are a big part of my life. Does anybody read this here? Just typing what comes to mind for this audio-related Bio.

Disclaimer: this Bio includes my own personal opinion. Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer, people, institutions, or organizations that I may or may not be associated with, whether in a professional or personal capacity.

-Got part of my musicality/interest/talent from my father. I'll be forever thankful, dad.

-Grown up with the Commodore 64 (SID! Chiptunes! Games! BASIC! Yeah!).

-Playing the keyboard as an instrument since ~6ys old, later synthesizers, much later the piano.

-Built Audio- & High-End Amplifiers in my late teens & young adult age.

-Started my early work-life as a energy-electronics engineer / electrician.

-Internship at a recording studio in Northern Germany.

-Had a small home recording studio to self-study stuff at the age of 18+.

-Wrote synthesizer patches for me for several (analog) synths for a few years, like ROLAND MKS-70, Korg exM1R, but also Yamaha MOTIF Rack...

-Self-studied sequencing with Logic Audio Gold 4.8.1 (which still runs strong today on the same hardware with an emagic AMT8 for my MIDI setup and Win ME after a RAM replacement). Gotta love an offline robust production-subsystem. ;)

-Trained my hearing intensively with an invention I've worked on for several years related to the timing of audio and music.

-Extensive listenening to music for decades.

-Collected / ripped hundreds of music CDs, compared different pressings and versions from different parts of the world to built up a collection of the for-me-best-sounding and most dynamic variants. RM? No, thanks.

-Got disappointed with a lot of music made after 1993, especially after 1997 (loudness-war was getting worse although some compositions are great, which made me shift to vinyl-rips for these messed-up CD albums).

-Hunted down and ripped music DVDs, DVDs of CD/DVD sets, hybrid CD/DVDs, music single DVDs / music single CDs where the dynamic range was slightly and sometimes dramatically higher on individual tracks than on the regular albums, including making personal mixdowns from 5.1 to 2.0 where the end result sounded better to my liking, especially with more recent music.

-Not less disappointed with most of newer popular music becoming less and less refined, getting less and less complex year after year, being it the composition, the lyrics, its sound, the "hot" mastering, its longevity... Part of the problem are algorithm-optimized compositions and sometimes extra alterations done to the initial, unreleased song for the popular streaming services only to potentially get into their algorithm-enhanced hot rotation playlist, which, for the most part seems to be comprised of unified-structured and similar-sounding music productions.

-Reflected on part of the music-/tv-industry with the "superstars" craze which often didn't build-up young artists over a long & necessary period, but treated them and "their" music mostly as "disposable heroes" where the next "star" is already being in line while the previous one didn't even get the time to grow. Often sad-scripted, inhuman reality tv and uniform sounding productions albeit some great exceptions exist. Everything just for the entertainment seems to distance the important aspect of the music itself even further away, rendering music -and people- less relevant and more replaceable than ever before while the show continues on.

-Re-started my home & studio project in 08/2023 with new and old hardware and some nice VSTs. I have some of my synths still with me. Repaired my Korg exM1R recently by replacing defective MKP capacitors with High-End audio capacitors that I had NOS & lying in a box for ~25+ years. Bought a TASCAM DP-24 with MIDI for the workflow. Finally getting into the topic of composing, songwriting, mixing & mastering again!

It's always nice to come back to music that you really love to kind of ground yourself from all the kind of nonsense & noise that you can hear around you or on the radio. Well, most radio stations reduce the dynamic range even further, so finding one that sounds good is also getting more and more of a challenge these days. DAB+ is quite unpleasant (in DE) esp. in terms of DR with too many stations cramped into a tiny bandwidth, yet marketing never stops telling you how much better it all sounds. I prefer my Realistic STA-receiver from ~1977 when listening to FM radio or when I need its amplifier. With a fine source it will sound very musical.

Well I guess that should be enough organically-written "Bio" if you've read this far. Now you may know a thing or two about me and my motivation.
I'll try to do whatever good I can and what my heart wants, as life's too short anyway! When the time is right I'll be showcasing my own music and projects on my channel. I work full-time in a non-audio industry-field btw., so I'm quite busy but I am passionate about my side-project, about music and I appreciate your interest.

If by any chance you happen to be an audio / mix / sound / recording engineer or someone musical or a musician who shares similar values or likes what I'm putting out there I'd be more than happy to exchange thoughts or hear from you.

Thanks for taking your time.
