Another hatchet job.
Cor! Those toms/taiko drums Big Grin

Brilliantly mixed and composed.

Amon.....? !
Hey thanks for that, glad you enjoyed it. Amon Tobin you mean? Yeah was a big fan years ago but kind of lost touch with what he's doing now, might check him out again, thanks for the reminder.
Yeah, ISAM is his newest as far as I know, really damn interesting stuff. Who do you listen to?
Yeah, googled him and realised it's about 15 years since I had a listen but will check out some newer stuff. And tbh, I'm pretty much mixing all the time so that's what I listen to, and any reference mixes that relate to it, sort of old and out of touch really.
Had me hooked from the start. Awesome stuff, love what you've done with it! Well done.
Impressive, manuke. Really creative and atmospheric. I can see why you're mixing all the time these days... Smile

Thanks Prof, glad you like it.
Listened to this again, I love how you scaped the sound to such dramaticism. It’s bladerunner all over again!

The way you layered and processed the battle drums to your own rhythm is great!

There are loads of ways that this has been moulded to your own design, and that was exactly the exercise I was pushing for with this. There are loads of versions of eqs and compressors that people can rightly call a mix, but I wanted something creative from the start. The fact you left the main synth until late was great, the squarish pad you followed with was a good circle back around.

Epic stuff!
