did a nice little mix on this one let me tell ya, being on here and getting advice and a little study skills of my own, ive came a long way on my mixes. just wanna say i appreciate everybody that takes the time to put a little input in.
hope yall enjoy this mix

#2 just a few touch ups on delay timing and eq
I really liked the artistic input (delayed copied voices in the back ground), I think it would be hard for me to achieve this.

Frequency analysis spectrum looks smooth and looks like you where saving headroom and avoided low end.

Delayed guitars and re-verb at the beginning sounds good too, only thing is I can't hear the kick drum and there is nasty overbearing bass frequencies on 82 Hz otherwise it sounds like bass would be miked from a cheap bass amp/combo in the first upload/example, or it might be cause I'm listening from bad laptop sound card with boosted bass sound, other sound cards usually sounds normal.

And I like how the toms blend in the mix quite well, in my mix they were a bit too loud and fundamental frequency was too low on the other hand for some songs it's good.

And I just spotted that frequency range from 1338 - 2767 Hz is too loud, it gives ringing noise in ears even after listening for just one time.
Human ears are the most sensitive approximately from 2kHz to 6kHz.

Any criticism appreciated.

Thanks.

dude, thanks for the feedback, you guys /or gals do not realize how much it helps me. for instance noting the frequency that bothered your ears, thank you. thats the kind of info i look for. and about the bass at 82, i actually boosted it on the bass guitar, because i high pass all of my acc/eg every time at 82, and i thought maybe boosting the bass guitar there would make it stand out on the low end, i like low end, and i sidechain my kick to it so the kick will stand out a little, i kinda like when the tone of a song is held by the bass, and i want to feel it hum but also have a little accent, and make it breath a little, just hadnt got it there yet, kick is to low, didnt realize that, thanks man. thanks for the input, got a long way to go and i learn alot from you guys.
I think you can go much further with the high pass filter on the guitars. I usually set it up to 130-150 Hz. It really cuts the low low ends we don't need for the guitars, and it gives a lot of space for bass and kick.
Mandubien, thank you, was a little scared to go any higher didnt wanna take from to much from the guitars, and thats the freqs that always sound muffled to me in my mixes, low end is one of the hardest things for me to keep clean, but smooth and distinct. i wanna feel that low end in my nuts, but i want people to know exactly where its coming from. on top of that, some sick ass harmonics to go it with thatll make audiophiles touch themsleves. to me, rythym shouldnt come from bass, thats them sick ass guitarists job, cuz thats when the drummers fuckn zone out and beat the livn shit out of them thangs, then the vocalist is nutn his pants and shedn fuckn tears with his voice cuz his soul is screamn through that mic. then that man that plays that soulo, yeah soulo, well you cant come back from that. puts everything in perspective. hopefully one day i will be able to paint that picture.

Lol, I would say you should place every knob to the far right to get such fu... rock and roll picture Big Grin

Automation can be very useful with hi pass filters. If guitars are playing alone, then you can place it at around 80 Hz or so to give them that big body they need. Then when bass comes in, automate it to 130-150 Hz (depends on the context indeed) to give space to the bass.
