Here's my spin on the mix, never mixed anything like this before but it was fun and sounded very cool to say the least so enjoy, any feedback is appreciated! Big Grin
*Edit*
Added a new version dialing back on the maximizer a smidge, hopefully that helped even the sound out and not overly compressed or anything Smile
*Edit*
Thanks for the helpful feedback about the bass, tried to mono out the bass the best I could this was from a few days ago and I've been quite busy working on other songs and such so I don't fully remember if I dialed it down some so it wouldn't be so fatiguing to listen to(Thought I was just being crazy imagining that..)
Anyways, this'll be my last upload any more feedback is greatly appreciated and I'll take into consideration on my future uploads Big Grin
Hi Mr. Feral
I like your mix it Sounds like a well balanced mix a touch compressed or limited ,would like to hear a version with less limiting if possible Big Grin !
Thanks for your feedback thedon! I updated it and uploaded it for comparison I must've started to get tunnel vision with the song haha hope you enjoy! Big Grin
hi there,
the project is easy to mix, but difficult to get right...that probably sounds ambiguous eh? i recommend you downmix to mono, as this will reveal major masking issues which you've avoided by merely panning stuff off to the sides in stereo? so, the consequence of your strategy has been to put a lot of bass in the sides (the bass synth is a nightmare to try and mix fundamentally because it's in stereo, and bass shouldn't be in stereo)...and this makes for highly fatiguing listening, especially over headphones for example. it will sound great in stereo, especially in the sweet spot, but given that most people who will listen down-stream won't be, you need to consider a few things that come as a consequence.

your goal, should be to keep all bass down the middle, or panned central. the rough rule of thumb in mixing is....the lighter the frequency, the more you can pan it towards the extremes? so, what's bass? and at what point can bass be panned before it becomes a problem? i'll leave this to you for researching....it's important stuff. no it's not, it's essential Wink

the way you've treated this on the master buss makes the issue worse....because the bass bangs even louder in the sides. simply backing off your processing isn't the solution here.

hope this helps
Dave
Thank you for your feedback The_Metallurgist, as embarassing as this is I didn't even notice the track was in stereo, I guess this is why you shouldn't mix music when you're barely awake ^^;... needless to say I believe I've managed to mono out the bass as it should be so it wouldn't be so dominate within the track and tried to clear things up, the only things I really have panned are 2 of the vocal tracks honestly, sorry for the late response haha
