Hi,

My mix.

Cheers!
This a cool mix! I like how you have the bass moving with the synths very well. I also like how muted things around giving it some great movement. I think maybe some big spacious reverb on the toms would be nice, otherwise I left most everything dry so the mixer can be creative Smile  (Not sure why the library has the intro cut out, maybe its boring haha)
Cheers and thanks for mixing!!

Hey thanks for checking out my mix.  Much appreciated.  Apologies for the late reply.

I do listen to kickbass / speedbass now and again.  A lot of those mixes are insanely clean and very well mixed.  A lot of that is down to the detailed editing in production, so I was trying to aim for that.  As a listener I also really like the abrupt changes and being thrown a bit, so I was going for that too.  It's nice to have a track like this that offers the opportunity to try out these things and to chop things up a little bit.

I might go back and add some reverb on the toms now you mention it.  I was feeling the bit of saturation I added was enough.  In general I felt the raw tracks were warm and ambient enough really, so I left everything dry aside from a touch of saturation here and there.  I think I only used reverb on the snare!

Hah! I wondered if that was the reason it was cut... I figured it must have been your decision or that maybe that Mike had steered you in that direction to keep it more commercial or something like that.

Maybe he cuts the intros just for the previews?  Until now I always presumed the previews were the approved final edits  Blush.
