Hi, here's my attempt, and my first post here! Any feedback much appreciated.
Hi, here's what I think.
The first thing I percieve is that there's too much mids on the snare and voice. They both sound rather small in the vast ambiance created by the guitars, bass and synths. Although it allows a clear separation between the instruments, which is nice. The balance is very good, you just need to tweak the vocals to make them a bit more lively. - yes, After a minute in, I got used to the snare. The vocals are still too mid-ish. Typically, at 1:20 you can hear that the two vocals are saturated and flat and walk on each other.

I'm being obvious but this piece has a strong Tool vibe, so you might find inspiration listening to them if you haven't already.

Talking about this I think the toms could have been more audible. See at 3:10, the rolls bring muddy lows.

The guitars are a bit thin too, I think you can give more more low end, especially since they don't play continuously but by stop'n'go. Just a detail though.

Starting at 3:45 the balance is broken, the vocals are too low or the cymbals too loud. They're dynamically too far apart. Or you want this effect and then you should apply more reverb to the vocals.

Well, very nice overall, I stated what could be enhanced but I sounds great already.
Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.
I'd gone for a pretty clean mix and wondered if maybe I'd taken too much low/low-mids out of some things, so thanks for the feedback there.
Yep, at 3:45 I'd messed up the vocal levels. The funny thing is the initial recording had the volume ramping on this section, with each phrase getting a bit louder. I levelled all this out and then at some point convinced myself the ramp-up should be there so put it back in with an automated volume ramp! Of course listening back now I should have left it levelled out.
Cheers.
