This song was a pleasure to mix. As a fan and player of acoustic music, I found a lot of nice sounds to play around with in this track. It's not every day that you get to play around with some really well played cello recordings! There was quite a lot going on with the mandolins and cellos, so I used automation to guide the listeners ear to focus one instrument playing a fill or a solo.

and tried to achieve a similar sense of space in my mix.
I got the feeling this song was recorded with cheap condenser microphones and found myself low passing practically all tracks to smooth out the high frequencies.
Quick revision: Brightened it up a bit and eased back the bus compressor.
