Hi!
I think you can get a bit more clarity and punch out of this mix.
- The vocals also sound a bit too recessed - too much reverb/widening or something maybe? This is pop, so the vocals need to be a bit more upfront and center I feel.
- The drums could sit back in the mix a bit too, for me they are masking the instruments and vocal.
For me I think this would sound much better if you dialled back the processing a bit and tweaked the balance a touch to regain some clarity.
It's worth checking out the released mix of this I think.
The supplied tracks are in really great shape already and already have a great vibe. It's surprising to me how hard it is to get a good balance and add a bit of polish, no? Maybe it is just me....
I dunno, those are my thoughts - what do you think?
