My favorite song in the library.  It's also really great to mix.  I mixed it due to Mike's podcast in March and then I realized I also mixed this song several years ago.  So I posted both mixes.  v1 is from a few years back and it's wasn't quite completed but it was interesting to see how it compares.  I may have overdone the compression on the vocals in v2, it's kinda breathy.  All in all a great song and very fun to mix, thanks for posting.

Overall, a very nice mix.

I know that the drum recordings aren't really great. However, I still feel that the snare is a little weak.
Maybe I find the vocal a little too low mid-heavy, but I'm not sure, if that's actually what I think ...
Forgive me, I'm listening on earpods, so I might be totally off here, but maybe I hear an issue in the kick-bass relation ... or maybe it's just the limitations of the earpods I'm hearing ...?

Anyhow, your mix sounds greats. It definitely works for me.

Hey Krabbe,

Thanks for the feedback.  You may be right about the kick bass relations, they mask each other a bit I think.  A tricky beast for me to tame! I could probably set the vocals back a little bit too volume wise.  It's funny what I hear in my mix after listening to somebody else tell me what they hear.  Thanks again, good points to ponder.
