Hi guys! Had real fun with this - gotta give love to the recording engineer for this one. Super easy drums to isolate and work with, tones are all great. Well done to the band as well, really well played and performed.

My aim going into this one was to reach my 'I'm pretty happy with this one' point at a decent pace - probably spent 9/10 hours on this one, which is pretty fast for me. But I also wanted to keep this fairly 'kvlt' and not rely on samples or sims - and the base tones being fairly well captured made it easy. Got rid of the guitar DI's, and chose between mic 1/2 for each pair of guitars. The kit samples weren't really used either. Getting rid of 'choice paralysis' really sped me up on this one I think.

Went kind of modern, I guess - I used Deafheaven as a semi-reference (obviously the source isn't as shoegazy as DH), I wanted to exacerbate the energy of the track and not have the 'muffled' tone a lot of BM goes for.

So big, thudding drums and bass, bright-ish and wide guitars, vocals are driven to hell and I did have some creative fun with them at parts.

I'm fairly happy with it, lemme know what you guys think and how I could improve it. Big Grin
