Just playing it straight - nothing fancy

Listening back to this with fresh ears it turned out quite well for a test mix with:

Channels - Scheps Omni strip with NLS console in spare slot and on master bus all set to Neve
Vocal - Sheps Omni preset for vocal

Groups:
Slate - Grey compressor
Audio assaults XCTR on most of the groups

Parallel compression tracks:
Keyboards and drums only - doing 12 db compression Waves H compressor

On Masterbus:
NSL Neve
Slate MU compressor - slow and tight preset
Dangerous EQ - nice loudness preset
Audio Assault's XCTR
EMI 12345 console - using a bit of eq and the stereo control + balancing the volume level of the right channel
Slate FG limiter (no compression)

Delays and reverb:
Repeater (Slate)
Verbsuite (Slate)
SSL Native Verb for Drum Room (would have ditched any room that was provided) - Preset Drum room with delay length turned down to 30/40%
Revelation (Cubase Artist)

Nice Work!
Overall sounds nice. Mix maybe weighed a bit to the left. There is some annoying distortion in the right ear also, not too sure what it is.

Maybe my hearings not so hot on the right - my mixes seem to be a bit left sided but mixing in Headphones. Maybe it would be more obvious if I used monitors. Not hearing the distortion (for same reasons?) could be either reverb/delay or if when double timing it could be the bass which will have some distortion on it (probably that - could automate that off).
