Hi there,
This is my finished mix of 'Broken Man', which I was given as part of a diploma I am undertaking at the SAE Institute in Byron Bay, Australia. It's my first ever mix, but obviously I am studying the subject, so have been given some extensive knowledge to help with it. Having said that, I still spent many hours trawling through YouTube for instructional videos, as it's one thing to be told how to do something, but a totally different experience to actually try it for yourself; I still feel slightly in the dark about EQ and Compression, and that it's a bit hit and miss at the moment. However, I found that by doing this mix, it was the best way to learn about mixing, and I now understand so much more than I did before - I'm already looking forward to tackling another one from this excellent website!
