Very good recording. So does the mixing joy. Smile

So here is my current mixing session. Comments are very welcome. Wink
Sounds really nice. The only suggestion I have is to bring the kick out a bit more.

Thank you! Do you think the new version have a better Bass Drum? Or should I enhance it more? Undecided I also have added some echo here and there. Smile
Hiya.
Kick is a little better but still not quite getting that nice rock thump cutting through the mix.
Could just be a matter of raising the level of the kick a tiny bit. But could also be the bass obscuring it as well through frequency masking.

I think you have done a very good job with the mix though. I remember this one being trickier than I thought it would be.
Nice work!

[edit: hi again. Just listened again and the kick isn't too bad when close referencing in headphones.
Just a tip with the creation of delays, it sounds like you have copied a section and spliced it onto the end of the vocal line on the same track.
Maybe use a different track for the 'delay' parts and have them a bit lower in level and maybe with more reverb on them to set them behind the level of the main vocal... Or use an actual delay effect on the copied audio pieces. At any rate, taking them off the main vocal channel and putting them on their own track will allow you to create a more natural sounding delay.]
Hey Dags, thank you for your constructive and very good feedback! It's great to hear a different opinion, which has really helped me to hear my mix different!

Here is a new version of me with the following changes:

- leadvocal a bit louder, background vocals a bit quieter
- other Reverb for vocal
- e-guitar half right a little quieter and more in the middle
- hi-hat on the right a little louder because it was masked by the e-guitar
- bass drum slightly boosted in the highs, for the typical rock bass drum sound
- echo a little quieter

Can you think of anything else to the mix?

Thank you for your feedback! Smile
Oh yes!
I can hear you've had fun reworking this version Smile

The delays don't sound like they're competing for attention with the lead vocals anymore and add a tasteful bit of effect to the song.

Nice job!
Dags
Thanks Dags!

I had the feeling, the vocal is too loud. I have made a new version with the old vocal volume.
