Even with following the mix rescue article, compromises had to be made in getting it to sound like a classic rock song, as the article says. It still sounds pretty modern with my mix, but here it is.

I love how different the intros sound on the mixes of this song. Yours has some nice ideas!

Your mix could need some more geling. The instruments sound too apart from each other. The snare could also need a bit more body.
