UPDATE: Here's my final version of the mix. (Labelled 'Final').

Thank you again for the pointers everyone. The second link is the most recent mix.

UPDATE: I felt the second mix was lacking some low end so I have unloaded a third mix that has a little more 100 hz across the whole mix.
Hi Andy

It would be great if you could leave your previous mixes in the same thread. It's more educational for everyone to listen to the different changes and improvements you make.

*Overall balance is actually pretty good. Is just some EQ polish that i feel needs to be improved.
*Kick has some "thump" freqs that are making the kick very muddy. I would suggest a cut around the 300-600hz to clear it up.
*Bass is very low in the mix for example at 2:58 .. this is where the bass should shine and be more prominent.. but I barely hear it. Is mostly sub energy coming out of it.

Overall your mix feels muddy on the low end. I would suggest you use a HighPass filter on everything you can.. from toms to guitars to vocals... there seems to be a build up in the low range and is making the mix very foggy and unclear.

hope this helps.

Thanks for the pointers! I will have a new mix up soon with revisions. I'll be sure to keep this mix up when I post the new one.
