Hi,
It's a hard song to mix.
The drum gave me some trouble, but i think it rock!
Good listening.
Hi Fabien

I like that you have kept the organ sounds up in level when other mixes would have tended to drown them completely in guitars. Being a keyboard player from way back its nice to hear them used as more of a feature Smile

Just a small issue to raise; the bass is getting a little lost in the chorus at times (or at least it is in my listening environment). It has a lovely 'roundness' to in in the really low range but may need something a bit more mid range to hold the focus when the higher notes are played.
I'm uncertain whether compressing the snot out of it with a fairly medium attack and very long release with sufficient makeup gain to keep the instrument sustaining across all notes more evenly or maybe some subtle parallel distortion to thicken up the mids would be the better way to go to keep it present in the mix.

Someone else may have the perfect solution which involves neither of the above Wink

Apart from that minor detail, well done - I think you have put together a pretty good mix here!

Thank you Dags for your comment.
I made a new mix and i tried to solve the problem of the bass lost.
Hi Fabien Andre,

you've managed to create quite a good mix here.

Two issues I'd like to raise:
The vocals seem a bit dull compared to the guitars, which has an dulling effect on the overall mix.
And although it is nice to hear the organ during the chorus, it seems to blurr the stereo picture a bit, making the chorus a bit shaky. At least I think it is the organ. Maybe you can find out what it is.

Cheers

Well done with regards to the bass. I can hear it better now.
Ah yes - Artbass has a point. I think the vocals sound dull because they are too quiet compared with the rest of the band. Give the vocals a bit more overall volume and if they still sound dull after the volume raise maybe give them a bit of 'presence' with a little boost at 12kHz but be aware that this will most likely introduce sibilance with Bill's voice (I used a de-esser as the last plugin to tame sibilance introduced by compression and EQ)

Keep up the good work!

Very nice!
Oh wow! I should just take mine down. This was very clean. Gotta try again. Very nice!
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
