Here is my new mix.
Anyone ?
I like it!
It's a bit bass heavy maybe and the snare sounds a bit short, but that's a way to mix it. Nice job!
The tom at the first hit of the refrain is supposed to do a little bass drop effect, haha
Thx, I will mix in a little less bass. And I will cut more of 2kHz on chorus vocal and I forgot the backing one. So I will fix it. Than I would like to see next comment on it.
Version 2.
yeah, way better!
Now try getting some more punch and less low mids out of your kick. The focus is a little on high bass frequencies while it has its sweet spot on its lower basses in my opinion, but it's all a matter of taste in the end.
The snare is awesome! Cuts through really nice and not too snappy.
A little better balance between overheads and the rest of the drum kit could have some of your attention, but that's not bad.
That's a really decent mix already!
Hey Obelix.

First of all, the 2nd mix is definitely a noticeable improvement.

I think it is a bit low-mid rangy relative to the snap and punch necessary in the drums. If you could drop some of the mud out of the middle and snap up the snare and add some click to the kick, and also brighten up the overheads (some 7k up, although attenuating the low mids will help in that regard.

I'd recommend listening to some Green Day and Foo Fighters for reference in mixing/mastering this one.
So the 3rd will be a noticeable improvement over the 2nd.

Thx for the kind words. I like more low bass (in 1st octave around 30-60 Hz) on bass guitar. I hpf kick drum around 40 Hz or 45 or even 50, depends on the song.
Version 3. Stereo main vocal in choruses to give it some different vibe.
