I'm not too familiar with this genre, but I decided to give it a go. There were lots of phase issues to deal with and it was a good exercise.

Comments and advice for improvement will be highly appreciated!
Sounds very nice and live to me.

Only something with bass sounds bothers me a little. As if it’s not in the same sonic atmosphere as the other instruments. Or something with bass that prevents the sound open totally.
Hi Juan,
I like your mix ,another one i have to have another go at soon.
I agree with olli about the bass ,I remember not doing much with this track especially with the bass ,just a touch of compression to tame some peaks and eqing some resonant frequencies and adding some limiting for some energy.
Maybe the kick needs replacing and balanced with the bass ,I didn't know how to replace drums at the time everything below 200hz on the kick out was filtered using a multi band compressor gain control maximum setting -30db and everything below 2k filtered on the kick in.
Also filtered everything below 200hz on the overheads to tame some low resonant frequencies.
Good Job
I've been checking on the bass. There were some conflicts with other instruments and that's probably what you were hearing.

I've tried to fix the problem. I haven't used a kick sample but while mixing, I was thinking about it but eventually I didn't do it.

Thank you for pointing out the bass problem!!Big Grin
Yeah, like it. Bass need something, some bottom? I used Ampire with a basspreset that I just tamed a bit. Maybe you have done that alreadySmile Effects are very good but a tad loud.

Nice work JJ.
I think you're quite near. But I do agree with Mange. Bass could go lower. Effects a bit too loud. This kind of music benefits if the mixer is not audible at all.
I've changed the bass a little bit. I hadn't used Studio One's Ampire, but now I have. I've also lowered the vocal effects a little bit. I hope it is now better Confused
Bass got fuller, better but not neccesary in the lower region. Effects on vocals are spot on. I would bring the guitar a bit closer to the stage.
