After hearing countless versions of this song with master distortion and brickwall limiting I decided to try a more old school take on the song (not squashing the hell out of the master). I combined the DI guitar tracks with the originals and ran them through some LePou plugins so there are 8 tracks of guitars screeching through the whole song. No samples were used on the drums. I tried to keep some air in the mix while still keeping it punchy, constructive criticism would be appreciated Smile
The kick has too much low end. I can feel it but it's hard to hear it. That's okay for blues but not for metal/hardcore. If you have a multiband distortion/saturation plugin like Saturn or the legendary Decapitator, try some saturation on the highs to give the kick more bite. Or use a simple highshelf boost but I would always try saturation first. The toms need more bite too. Maybe you have to cut the lower mids on both toms and kick too, but that might allready be too much separation. You don't want to end up with a sterile, clinical mix.

All in all it's a good, intense and powerfull mix. It's not too bright or harsh like a lot of metal mixes here on this forum. Definitely enjoyed it.

ps: If you want feedback it's a very good idea to give feedback to other mixes/mixers on this forum first. You don't have to mix for the last twenty years to write down what you think and feel and it only takes a couple of minutes. Your chances will be much higher that someone else will take the time to listen to your stuff too.
Thanks dude! Great feedback, I thought my mix needed some bite and that might just do it Smile I'll try to be more active before uploading my next mix of whatever song I do.
