Mixing Session with Jackie Greene
#1
Hey Guys,

here is my attempt of the great song. Had a lot fun with it, but it was kinda tricky to find the best mic which matches the sound i was looking for.

Let me know what you think about my mastered track.

I Enjoyed listening to your mix I like it !
This could be my monitors and personal choice ,The panned soloing electric guitar is jumping out just a touch ,maybe an eq dip in the 2-3 k just a couple of db.
Good job Big Grin

I enjoyed your mix, overall:)

What are you using on the lead vocal track for effects? I also agree with "thedon" that the lead guitar solo jumps out a little too much in front of the mix. I would cut some 2k range out of the track by a couple of dbs. That should smooth the lead guitar solo out a bit.

Overall, nice job:)

Enjoyed your mix. Hi hats seem a bit shinny but that might just be that the overall mix seems a little bright.
