Hey Don,

really enjoyed this mix...LOVE what you've done with the guitars...Big Grin..and the BGV's...Everything fits just right and the overall balance delivers a really coherent vision.

My only quibble....and it is only a quibble for such a nice mix....I reckon you could dial the mastering back a couple of db. Its pretty transparent....but you must be losing a bit of detail in the processing...

Nice job

...and i found it harsh; the top end is pretty brittle and made listening rather unpleasant. actually, i had to bail out before the half-way mark. i suspect this is a rough mix, yeah? the low-mids sound troublesome at the moment, perhaps this is why you were in search of clarity in the treble? vocal has more than it's fair share of sibilance, cymbals are like needles in my ears....etc. but knowing you, it will all be right on the day Big Grin
Beware...........Cognitive Dissonance!

oh yes, the compass is pointing in the right direction, naturally. i listened to it once in stereo, once on the sides, once on the center, once in mono (i made up for the last time - lol)! that bass gtr sounds like it's a tricky beast, eh? sounds like a project that would benefit from some selective dynamic EQ rather than static. but i like where you're taking this mix now. do go easy on the 2buss compressor though Wink

i hope you are wearing some decent ear protection during the gigs dude.

The frequency balance is nice. Drums sound over-compressed though - starting to brink on that "papery" sound.

Definitely my favourite mix of this song here so far. Sounds a lot more open and less boxy than the others.

Hopefully I'll have time to mix this next week Smile
