Heart on My Thumb
#1
Here are the issues I noticed:
The vocal track is very uneven.
The left and right overheads are out-of-phase with each other.
The stereo room mics are lopsided.
The bass amp track has a buzzing noise.
There’s a fair amount of spill but it's not terrible.

The bass has some low mids dominating too much.

The voice is a little low, and needs more compression and/or automation because the jump in level and sometimes gets lost.

Other than than the balance is good.

Nice sounding mix !
One little thing I noticed is guitar at the intro sounds great ,maybe balance the bottom end and level of the intro guitar so there is a smooth transition when it stops playing Big Grin !

Thanks for listening and commenting Don & Jeremia.

The vocal has both compression (GR peaks of -3.5) and automation on it. It's likely I zigged when I should have zagged on some of the automation and ended up causing some of the bumps that are left. The guy seems to really step back from the mic at times. Even in solo I thought parts were unintelligible.

The guitars were multed into intro, verse and chorus parts. Although I put a little volume and pan automation in to try to smooth the transitions, I agree there's still an audible change between some of them.

Nice mix.

I think the kick is a bit loud and the vocals are jumping in volume and it's a bit distracting.
