Only thing that came to my mind: is the kick too loud as the overall groove is quite elegant? I don't have any clear answer that, it just came to my mind while I was unanalytically listening.

this has no right answer. i think its fine but as you pointed out its loud . you also said the groove sounds elegant. you've got me confused. :-)

It's not easy to express quickly these kind of details in foreign language. I meant that the elements that create the basic groove are quite elegant except the kick that is quite prominent. Probably there's no problem. Just thinking aloud.
